Celebrating Holi with Cancer Patients

We celebrated the spirit of 'Holi'—warmth, compassion, joy, friendship, and care—with the patients at Tata Memorial Centre, Kharghar (our fifth engagement with the centre in less than a year).

The Shruti Sandhaan Foundation tries to celebrate festivals and special occasions with the patients, a way of helping them detach (at least for a few hours) from their daily treatment routine.

During the two hours we spent regaling them with melodious Hindi songs, there was dancing and celebration all around. The patients also rendered two Holi-based songs.

It couldn't have been a better way to ring in the festival than being the cause of happiness and smiles to around 200 patients in the audience.
