The Shruti Sandhaan Foundation selected four deserving young women to receive training in nail art through a six-month program at the LTA School of Beauty in Thane.
The women were awarded a Diploma in Professional Nail Art, certifying them as Nail Technicians at Levels 1 and 2 upon completion of the course. While three of the four women chose to pursue additional professional courses, one of them, Ms. Komal Bhalekar, was quickly absorbed by Salon-Tress Tales as a Nail Art Specialist with starting emoluments of Rs. 15,000 per month.
The foundation maintains women's empowerment through adequate training (in relevant skills), leading to meaningful employment as one of their primary goals. The program detailed above has motivated us to develop many similar programs that can help underprivileged women secure employment.
The foundation sponsored the program fees, travel expenses and cost of the kit.
