Celebrating 15th August with inmates of Thane Jail

Shruti Sandhaan Foundation celebrated the 80th Independence Day today with inmates at Thane Central Jail.
Selected inmates performed popular Hindi songs, including patriotic numbers. What amazed us was the quality of their singing. Some sang with a confidence usually seen in seasoned artistes. The credit for preparing them to this level goes to the teachers at Aas Academy.

What we witnessed is genuine transformation over the last two years, vindicating our resolve to help the inmates find succour, given their status.

The 90-minute program was received with cheer and enthusiasm, and it drew immense praise from the jail superintendent, Mrs Rani Bhosale.
